MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE Doctor Stephen Strange was a brilliant, highly respected, and extremely successful neurosurgeon, facts which also led him to be arrogant and unsympathetic toward his patients and anyone who didn't have any use in furthering his career. A car accident which Strange survived but left his hands with permanent nerve damage ended that career, sending him into a self-destructive spiral. Strange spent his time and fortune chasing any hope of restoration while drinking himself into oblivion. The Ancient One, an immensely old mystical being, saw the potential in Strange and instructed him in the ways of magic. Seven years later, he returned to New York as the Sorcerer Supreme of the Earth. |
This Doctor Strange is based primarily on the upcoming film incarnation, and will take his canon from there as much as possible. He will stay vague and incorporate certain comic elements as well to fill in the gaps until the movie opens and the MCE decides to fill them in for me. I can play in action or prose, past or present tense, as needed. I'm not the fastest tagger, but will happily backtag a thread forever, so don't worry when RL gets in the way. Mun and muse are 21+ Doctor Strange belongs to Marvel Entertainment, Benedict Cumberbatch is his own person, and I lay claim to neither. |
